Ventoux Hybrid Helmet
Open a new market on cycling security
This project come from the questioning, how to improve cyclists protection considering different needs requested by this activity, from a leisure use or as sporty activity. This product is made to offer a better protection in a light and compact format adaptable to every bike uses. From cycling specialist, to urban amateur and children in learning phase.

Ce projet provient de ce questionnement, comment améliorer la protection des cyclistes en tenant compte des différents besoins demandés par cette activité, d’une utilisation de loisir ou d’une activité sportive. Ce produit est conçu pour offrir une meilleure protection dans un format léger et compact adaptable à toutes les utilisations du vélo. Du spécialiste du vélo, à l'amateur des villes aux enfants en phase d'apprentissage.
Protected in every situation
This product is made to correspond to several uses and offer a best facial protection in every situations and every environment.
The main problem with the actuel product is the rotation of the helmet around the strap attach under the chin during frontal impacts on ground. This rotation uncover face and forehead which concentrate most of injuries.
The best of both world
Keep functions and elements for both architectures to achieve to the best hybrid solution for an everyday use. This concept allow to cover in every case the face thanks to a low chin protection.
MOODBOARD
Integral Protection
To integrate its facial protection maintain on four points on the top helmet, the architecture of this concept is bigger on the back of the head to integrate the fixation system behind hears of user. This part goes lower than other road cycling helmet to give more protection for a mountain bike or a casual road rinding use.
This architecture allow in case of impact, to tone down forces and reduce the head movement thanks to its four points fixations displayed at different position of the head. The back air release shape follow the mechanical architecture of the face protection for a better resistance.
This product is thought to allow alimentation during the ride, food or drink at bottle, the mouth stay accessible above the chin protection.
Slim and light but strong
Made to be light and added the least of weight to the helmet, the protection is made of a monobloc plastic piece reinforced by a metallic structure which goes through four holes (two per side) placed around the center of gravity to optimize force contraints in case of crash, and locked in position directly in the top shell structure.
Soft Inside Strong Outside
To improve user comfort, the helmet is equipped of different small cushions placed a specific head position but also integrate a mesh filter net in front and back aperture to protect from outside element (insects, cold, dirt...)
The chin protection include also foam pillow and a textile covering for a better protection and quality of use.
Inside Airflow Outside Improved
By reducing openings on the upper part of the helmet, we can improve the air penetration and the security in case of shock on top part. But to keep a comfort of use and a good cooling of head during the ride, the air is redirected inside, between the shell and the user’s head.
Thanks to channels integrated in the helmet thickness, the air flow is transfer from the front and top opening to the rear exit and stay in contact with head all along the path.
More Fresh Air Less Air Drag
To offer maximum aeration with minimum holes, this helmet integrate front apertures which diffuse air flow all along the head through inside track. For more performance, aeration apertures are limited on the top. Central apertures offer a large air entrance on head areas where front airflows didn’t go.
From Beginner to Professional
Build around a plastic protection integrated inside de helmet, this product allow different variations for different needs. The lower protection can be remove easily with push buttons which released the the metal structure of chin protection. An extra lens can be added, clipped directly to the top part of the helmet.
